Stephanie is passionate about helping children communicate effectively and to their best potential. She obtained her Master of Health Science Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Toronto in 2001. Stephanie has worked extensively as an SLP in the education system both with the Toronto District School Board and the Newfoundland & Labrador English School District. Stephanie started her private practice in the St. John’s area in 2014.
Some highlights of Stephanie’s professional experience include:
Providing assessment, programming, intervention, and consultation for students with oral language and communication difficulties, as well as those with Autism Spectrum Disorder, articulation, fluency, and voice disorders
Implementing intensive early language intervention programs, focusing on oral language development, narrative skill development, and a variety of early literacy skills
Delivering presentations to early childhood educators regarding speech and language development, and incorporating early literacy skill development activities within the context of childcare settings
Working with children and families from linguistically and culturally diverse populations
Supervising and mentoring graduate speech-language pathology students from the University of Toronto as a clinical educator
