Stephanie is passionate about helping children communicate effectively and to their best potential.  She obtained her Master of Health Science Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Toronto in 2001. Stephanie has worked extensively as an SLP in the education system both with the Toronto District School Board and the Newfoundland & Labrador English School District.  Stephanie started her private practice in the St. John’s area in 2014.

Some highlights of Stephanie’s professional experience include:

  • Providing assessment, programming, intervention, and consultation for students with oral language and communication difficulties, as well as those with Autism Spectrum Disorder, articulation, fluency, and voice disorders

  • Implementing intensive early language intervention programs, focusing on oral language development, narrative skill development, and a variety of early literacy skills

  • Delivering presentations to early childhood educators regarding speech and language development, and incorporating early literacy skill development activities within the context of childcare settings

  • Working with children and families from linguistically and culturally diverse populations

  • Supervising and mentoring graduate speech-language pathology students from the University of Toronto as a clinical educator
